Jiang Weijie is one of the most influential classical guitarists in China. He began violin training at the age of six and shortly afterwards became a concert master. Since 1978 he has dedicated himself to the classical guitar. He recorded the first guitar CD in China. He is equally successful as a musician, teacher, author and guitar designer. A total of 20 textbooks and music books were written by him. His guitar students regularly win prizes at major guitar competitions.
